With a deadly virus doing the rounds, our lives were put on hold. To keep the audience entertained during this tough time, the Centre for Performing Arts had to come up with an idea. Hence, ‘Quarantainment’ was born. With talents soaring high and artists willing to push harder than ever, ‘Quarantainment’ proved that anything is possible through dedication and hard work.
The first episode posted online starred ‘The TroopH’, the college acapella team. Their coordination, even when not together, was truly commendable. A great way to begin the series. The faculty of DSI also put out a melodious performance in an attempt to tell us how the pandemic has changed their ways of teaching and interacting with students drastically. With a total of 13 episodes from our teams and our faculty, this series of entertaining videos truly helped raise the spirits of the audience at home. They reached a wider range of audience this time and we could not be happier.

UPLINK
If you can't come to the fest, we bring the fest to you!
Uplink was the first ever online fest conducted by the Centre for Performing Arts aimed at providing students across the country a platform to compete over the internet.
Uplink was a huge success owing to its vast number of participants spread over seven categories namely, Dance, Art, Music, Media, Content Writing, Fashion and Literature!
What made it unique was that its winners were determined solely on the basis of their talents, and not based on their social media presence like most other online contests. Judges for each of the events even went out of their way to interact with participants and share some advice. Uplink is yet another outstanding example of how the Centre for Performing Arts stops at nothing to ensure that talents continue to flourish!
KALAAROHA
The Centre for Performing Arts at Dayananda Sagar Institutions has been going strong for over 10 years now. To commemorate this achievement, the CPA took a trip down memory lane to put together the best of it's students all in a package that can be enjoyed by everyone from the comfort of their homes.
Keeping in line with the quarantine tradition, the Centre for Performing Arts managed to bring together some of the most talented alumni of the college. Kalaaroha saw them share their craft with the people and win hearts in the process. The first part of Kalaaroha premiered on May 2nd, 2020 on YouTube and the second part was aired on 9th May, 2020. The emcees and participants were all ex-SCCs, ex-Team Heads and popular names that have come to reverberate through the walls of the CPA over all these years. To watch our seniors perform their crafts all over again was an absolute delight!
